What Is An Ice Show?

Lights! Music! Action! All levels of skaters are included in creating a fun and entertaining skating show to be performed before a live audience and fans of all ages. There will be back drops, props, costumes, theatre lights and more. There is a place for everyone to be a part of this exciting show. This year’s theme is “Under the Big Top- Cirque sur Glace”. Circus characters, staging and music will all reflect this fun for everyone storyline.

Where Is It Held?

All practices, photo day and shows are at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex at 3070 Neyagawa Blvd.

Who Can Sign Up?

All levels from PreSchool to Elite will be featured in the show, however the registration is now closed.

When Are the Rehearsals and Shows?

Photo Day:                   Sunday March 5, 2017 – details and schedule to be announced

Practices:                      March 20-24, 2017 (weeknight evenings)

March 27- 30, 2017 (weeknight evenings)

Detailed schedule will be available after the close of registration.

CanSkaters have 3 practices plus dress rehearsal.

STARSkaters and higher have 4 practices plus dress rehearsal.

Participation by all skaters, at all practices is crucial for the development, esthetics and safety of all numbers.


Dress Rehearsal:         Friday, March 31, 2017 (mandatory attendance)

Shows:                          Saturday, April 1, 2017 matinee 1:00-4:00

Saturday, April 1, 2017 evening 7:00-10:00

Sunday, April 2, 2017 matinee 1:00-4:00

All skaters perform all shows.

Where do I Register?

The registration is now closed

What do my Fees Cover?

Registration fees and ticket sales cover practice ice costs, coaching, costumes and the rink transformation. Skaters are required to provide their own tights/socks, make up and on occasion shirt/leggings to complete a costume.

What if my plans change and I can’t participate anymore?

Withdrawals must be made in writing via email to the Skate Oakville office (office@skateoakville.ca).

Before Feb. 1, 2017 – full refund

Feb. 1 to Mar. 1, 2017 – 50% refund

After Mar. 1, 2017 – no refunds

Tickets are Sold Where?

Tickets are on sale at the Skate Oakville office located at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.

Please inform the skating office if you are interested in sewing or prop and set construction.
