Skate Oakville Volunteer Commitment

Skate Oakville is a not-for-profit organization that requires the support of volunteers to operate.  As a parent with a skater (or skaters) registered in any of the Skate Oakville programs listed below, you are required to commit to a number of tasks for the 2016-2017 season.  The number of commitments to be completed per family is calculated on a per skater and per program basis, to a maximum of 7 commitments per family.  The number of commitments per program is as follows:

• Starskate B, C and D: 1 volunteer commitment;
• Pre-competitive program: 1 volunteer commitment;
• Competitive program(s): 2 volunteer commitments;
• Synchro program: 2 volunteer commitments;

 Failure to complete all of your commitments by the end of June 2017 will result in a charge of $150 per skater.

All of the tasks needing volunteers for the 2016-2017 season and the number of commitments attributed to each task is listed under the blue Volunteer Sign Up button found on the right side of the registration page.  If the number of commitments that your family needs to complete for the season is 5 or greater than 5, we strongly recommend that you take on a more prominent role. 

If one of the programs that you have selected in a synchro program, one of your selections must be an item between item 1 and item 18.
