Coaching Experience, Skating Background and Additional Training
I have been a member with Skate Oakville since the age of seven. I was a competitive ice dancer for 5 years representing both Central and Eastern Ontario. I am a Triple Gold Medalist in Dance, Interpretive and Skills, also achieving my Diamond Dances. While completing my Bachelor degree in Sport Management (Honours), I competed in Ontario University Athletics for four years in dance and synchronized skating. I returned to Skate Oakville in 2008 as a coach, specializing in dance.
Coaching Philosophy
My objective as a coach is to help skaters achieve their goals and their potential, in a supportive environment. My history within figure skating has largely shaped me into the person I am today. I believe the dedication and hard work required to be successful in figure skating, are the same to succeed in life. I am passionate about this sport, and I hope to help skaters create their own lifelong memories.
