PreCOMPETITIVE PROGRAM
The PreCOMP Program is offered 4 days per week. Program sessions include on and off ice instruction. All sessions will be group coaching by members of our competitive coaching team. Off ice classes will include off ice fitness , off ice jumps and other activities that will enhance the skater's training. Besides these training days, skaters are expected to be participating in other sessions to complement their development.
Entry Requirements: Under 8 years old from Canskate.
Once skaters are promoted from Canskate to PreComp 1, skaters have 2 years to obtain the requirements for Comp 1. If it is determined they are not on track (podium pathway), they will be asked to join other club programing.
Commitment: 2 days a week, with dryland training provided by the club.
Programming: 50 min group session, off ice/dryland classes after (3 times a week). Off ice class is basic balance and shapes.
Skaters must NOT have a private coach
COMPETITIVE 1 PROGRAM
The Comp 1 Program is offered 4 days per week. Program sessions include on and off ice instruction. All sessions will be group coaching by members of our competitive coaching team. Off ice classes will include off ice fitness , off ice jumps and other activities that will enhance the skater's training. Besides these training days, skaters are expected to be participating in other sessions to complement their development.
Entry Requirements: Under 9. Single Loop.
Once a skater is promoted to Comp 1 skaters have 2 years to obtain the requirements. If it is determined they are not on track (Podium pathway), coaches can request a time extension, or they will be asked to join other club programing.
Commitment: 2 days a week (full week programing/3 weeks in summer) with off-ice/dryland training provided by the club.
Programming: 50 min group sessions, off ice/dryland classes after (3 times a week). Dryland training is mandatory along with additional training recommended by the coach.
To be eligible for competitive programs, skaters must have a Skate Oakville coach.
COMPETITIVE 2 PROGRAM
Skaters in this program will participate in at least 2 - Comp 2 programs (packages) per week, additional freeskate sessions and the off ice program. On ice classes may include group lesson time as well as individual skating time for private lessons and program run throughs. Off ice classes will be designed under the direction of Meagan Duhamel. World Champion and Olympic medalist, Meagan combines her knowledge, passion and experience to create a comprehensive off ice training to the competitive program. Activities will include fitness, strength and condition, flexibility, dance and other classes. Skaters at this level should be training a minimum of 8 hours per week.
Entry Requirements: Under 11. Single Axel & 1 double jump.

COMPETITIVE 3 PROGRAM
Skaters in this program will participate in Comp 3 programs (packages) and additional competitive freeskate sessions and the off ice program. On ice classes may include group lesson time as well as individual skating time for private lessons and program run throughs. Off ice classes will be designed under the direction of Meagan Duhamel. World Champion and Olympic medalist, Meagan combines her knowledge, passion and experience to create a comprehensive off ice training to the competitive program. Activities will include fitness, strength and condition, flexibility, dance and other classes. Skaters at this level should be training a minimum of 10 hours per week.
Entry Requirements: Under 13. 4-5 consistent and clean double jumps. Must be competing in pre-juv/juv or higher. Rotational speed in a backspin, and knowledge of all difficult turns. Once a skater is promoted skaters have 2 years to obtain a double axel.

COMPETITIVE 4 PROGRAM
Skaters in this program will participate in a minimum of 2 - Comp 4 Programs (packages) per week, which include on- ice and-off ice instruction, as well as additional sessions to compliment the training requirements at this level. On ice classes may include group lesson time as well as individual skating time for private lessons and program run throughs. Off ice classes will be designed under the direction of Meagan Duhamel. World Champion and Olympic medalist, Meagan combines her knowledge, passion and experience to create a comprehensive off ice training to the competitive program. Activities will include fitness, strength and condition, flexibility, dance and other classes. Skaters at this level should be training a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Entry Requirements: Double axel and working on triples. Must be competing in Pre-Nov to Senior.
Commitment: 5-6 days a week (7-8 weeks of summer training), with off-ice/dryland training provided by the club. Time off and breaks will be organized by the coach. Dryland training is mandatory along with additional training recommended by the coach.
Programming is very dependent on level and age.
