Other Skate Maintenance Tips

Hard guards should be worn when on non-padded surfaces. Walking on the floor without protecting your blades can severely damage your skates

Dry off your blades after each session with a small towel

Skating Attire

  • Mittens or gloves are mandatory
  • Warm and waterproof clothing is recommended. Beginners are encouraged to wear splash pants or snow pants as they will begin sitting on the ice.
  • It is not recommeded for skaters to wear padding including knee pads as these can inhibit proper movement.
