Coaching Experience, Skating Background and Additional Training:
I have been a member with Skate Oakville since the age of seven. I competed in ice dance for 5 years representing both Central and Eastern Ontario. I am a Triple Gold Medalist in Dance, Interpretive and Skills and also completed my Diamond Dances. While completing my undergraduate degree I competed in Ontario University Athletics representing Brock University for four years in dance and synchronized skating. I returned to Skate Oakville 8 years ago as a coach, specializing in dance and skills.
Coaching Philosophy:
My objective as a coach is to help skaters achieve their goals and their potential, in a supportive environment. My history within figure skating has largely shaped me into the person I am today. I believe the dedication and hard work required to be successful in figure skating, are the same qualities necessary to succeed in life. I am passionate about this sport and I hope to help skaters create their own lifelong memories.
