Coaching Experience, Skating Background and Additional Training:
I have been coaching with Skate Oakville for over 15 years, and over those years I have taught skaters at all levels, and in many disciplines. My passion is choreography and interpretive skating. This passion comes from my background in Theatre Arts, where I have a degree in Theatre and Drama studies from the University of Toronto, as well as a Diploma in Acting from Sheridan College.
Coaching Philosophy
I love the art of figure skating, and it brings me such happiness to see that love for the sport in my skaters. I work with skaters of all levels, and with every skater I strive to teach them passion, hard work, and dedication. These skills outlast their skating career, they take them with them out into the real world. Figure skating doesn’t just teach skaters how to be good athletes, but it teaches them how to be great people.
